You can buy a HelloSIM travel eSIM with Toncoin (TON) or with USDT on the TON network, sent from any wallet that can transfer them to an address. At checkout choose "Pay with crypto", select Toncoin or USDT on TON on the secure payment page, and send the exact amount shown.
Many people hold TON in a wallet linked to Telegram; others use a standalone TON wallet app or an exchange. Wherever the balance sits, the payment is the same: one transfer, on the TON network, of exactly the amount the payment page asks for.
Toncoin or USDT on TON: two options, one network
On the payment page these are separate choices, each with its own amount:
- Toncoin (TON) is the network's own coin. The page converts the euro price of your plan into TON at the moment of payment.
- USDT on TON is Tether issued on the TON blockchain as a token. USDT is designed to track the US dollar while plans are priced in euros, so the USDT figure will not be the same number as the euro price.
In most TON wallets both sit at the same address, so it is easy to pick one on the page and send the other. Choose the asset you actually intend to send, and send that one.
If your USDT is on a different network, such as TRON or Ethereum, select that network on the payment page instead. USDT on TON is one of eight USDT networks accepted.
How to make sure you are sending on the TON network
Some exchanges have also offered Toncoin on other blockchains, as a token that represents it there. That is not the same as Toncoin on the TON network, and a transfer on a different network can leave the payment incomplete. In a withdrawal form, select TON as the network.
The address is a useful check. TON addresses in the usual format are 48 characters long and commonly begin with UQ or EQ. An address starting with 0x belongs to a different kind of network, so if the payment page shows one, go back and check which option you selected.
Fees on TON: keep a little Toncoin
Network fees are paid by the sender, on top of the amount shown. On TON they are paid in Toncoin.
- Sending USDT on TON from your own wallet usually needs some Toncoin in the same wallet for the fee.
- Paying with Toncoin needs enough for the amount plus the fee. Avoid "send all" style buttons that take the fee out of the amount.
- Sending from an exchange or another custodial wallet can mean a withdrawal fee is taken out of the amount you type. Check the amount that will actually arrive. Sending less than the amount shown can leave the payment incomplete; overpaying still completes the order.
How to pay for an eSIM from a TON wallet, step by step
- 1Check your balance. Decide between Toncoin and USDT on TON, and make sure there is Toncoin for the fee.
- 2Choose a plan. On the HelloSIM website or in the iPhone or Android app, pick a country, regional or Global plan and enter your email address.
- 3Select "Pay with crypto". A secure hosted payment page opens.
- 4Select Toncoin or USDT on TON. The page shows a payment address, a QR code and the exact amount.
- 5Start the transfer in your wallet. Choose the same asset, then scan the QR code or paste the address. If the wallet is on the same phone you are paying with, copy the address and the amount instead of scanning.
- 6Check and send within 1 hour. Make sure the amount matches exactly before you confirm. If the request expires, start a new one from checkout and never send to an expired request.
- 7Receive the eSIM. Once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, it appears in your account or the app and the QR code is emailed.
Blockchain transfers cannot be recalled once sent, which is why step 6 deserves a second look.

What you need to pay from a TON wallet
- An email address to receive the eSIM (guest checkout works; an account helps you manage eSIMs and top up later)
- A phone that supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked
- Toncoin, or USDT on TON plus a little Toncoin for the fee
- A Wi-Fi connection to install the eSIM
The minimum for a crypto payment is €1.00.
After you pay: delivery, validity and your number
The eSIM is issued once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. Timing depends on the coin and network, and HelloSIM does not promise a number of minutes, so pay before the trip and not in the arrivals hall. Validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not on the purchase day, so buying early costs nothing, and you can install it over Wi-Fi at home.
The eSIM is data-only and has no phone number. It gives your phone mobile data abroad without changing the number your messaging accounts are registered to. All sales are final, with no refunds once paid, and you can also top up your HelloSIM wallet balance with crypto.
