You can buy a HelloSIM travel eSIM with BNB, and also with three tokens on BNB Smart Chain: USDT (BEP-20), USDC and ETH. At checkout choose "Pay with crypto", select your asset with BNB Smart Chain as the network on the secure payment page, and send the exact amount shown.
BNB Smart Chain, often shortened to BSC, is a common option for exchange withdrawals and is supported by many browser and mobile wallets. It is convenient, but it shares an address format with several other networks, and that shared format is the detail this guide spends most of its time on.
Four ways to pay from BNB Smart Chain
On the payment page, each of these is a separate option with its own amount:
- BNB, the coin used to pay network fees on BNB Smart Chain
- USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)
- USDC on BNB Smart Chain
- ETH on BNB Smart Chain, a version of ETH that lives on BSC and is separate from ETH on the Ethereum network
ETH is also accepted on Ethereum and Arbitrum, and USDT and USDC on several other networks, but those are different options on the page. Pick the asset and the network your balance is actually on.
Plans are priced in euros. The page converts the euro amount into your chosen asset at the moment of payment, which is why the USDT or USDC figure will not be the same number as the euro price.
BEP-20, BSC, BNB Smart Chain: one network, three names
Exchanges and wallets label this network in different ways: BNB Smart Chain, BSC or BEP-20. All three mean the same thing. Two similar-looking names do not:
- opBNB is a separate network built on top of BNB Smart Chain. It is not the same as BNB Smart Chain.
- BEP-2 is an older token standard on a different chain. Choose BEP-20, that is, BNB Smart Chain.
Why your wallet shows the same address on several networks
BNB Smart Chain uses addresses that start with 0x, exactly like Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon and Avalanche. A wallet that supports several of these networks will often show you one address for all of them, and an exchange withdrawal form will accept a 0x address on any of them without complaint.
The payment address, however, belongs to the network you selected on the payment page. If you chose ETH on BNB Smart Chain and then send ETH on the Ethereum network, the transfer is on a different network and can leave the payment incomplete. Blockchain transfers cannot be recalled once sent, so check the network name on the withdrawal screen, or in your wallet's network switcher, before you confirm.
Gas on BNB Smart Chain: keep a little BNB
Network fees are paid by the sender, on top of the amount shown. On BNB Smart Chain the fee, often called gas, is paid in BNB.
- Paying with USDT, USDC or ETH from your own wallet needs some BNB in the same wallet for gas.
- Paying with BNB itself needs enough for the amount plus the fee. A "max" button may take the fee out of the amount, so enter the exact figure instead.
- Withdrawing from an exchange means the exchange charges its own fee, sometimes out of the amount you enter. Check what will actually arrive: sending less than the amount shown can leave the payment incomplete, while overpaying still completes the order.
How to pay with BNB or a BEP-20 token, step by step
- 1Open your wallet on BNB Smart Chain. Check which asset you will pay with and that you have BNB for gas.
- 2Choose a plan. On the HelloSIM website or in the iPhone or Android app, pick a country, regional or Global plan and enter your email address. Guest checkout works; an account helps you manage eSIMs and top up later.
- 3Select "Pay with crypto". A secure hosted payment page opens.
- 4Select the asset with BNB Smart Chain as the network. The page shows a payment address, a QR code and the exact amount.
- 5Match it in your wallet. Confirm the network is BNB Smart Chain and the token is the one you selected, then scan the QR code or paste the address.
- 6Send the exact amount within 1 hour. If the request expires, start a new one from checkout and never send to an expired request.
- 7Receive the eSIM. Once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, it appears in your account or the app and the QR code is emailed.

What you need to pay from BNB Smart Chain
- An email address to receive the eSIM
- A phone that supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked
- BNB, or USDT, USDC or ETH on BNB Smart Chain plus a little BNB for gas
- A Wi-Fi connection to install the eSIM
The minimum for a crypto payment is €1.00.
Delivery, validity and refunds
The eSIM is issued once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. Timing depends on the coin and network, and HelloSIM does not promise a number of minutes, so pay before your trip and not at the airport. Buying early costs nothing: validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, and it can be installed over Wi-Fi beforehand.
All sales are final, with no refunds once paid. HelloSIM has single-country plans for 190+ countries, plus regional and Global plans, and every eSIM is data-only, with no phone number. You can also top up your HelloSIM wallet balance with crypto.
One chain, one careful check
Choose the asset, choose BNB Smart Chain in both places, keep some BNB for gas and send the exact amount within the hour. Of all those steps, the network check is the one that matters most.
